Sleek and stylish

Oppo is known for its attention to design and style, and you can see these elements on the Reno 11 Pro. The new textured finish on the glass back has a different appeal that is hard to find in this range.

The huge camera module gives off an imposing feel, but you don’t realize it because the overall weight of the device is just 181 grams.

The screen’s curved edges and sleek body make the phone easy to hold, but we did have a bit of concern about its delicate nature. The phone doesn’t have any official IP rating, which might turn some people off.

The camera almost makes you excited

Oppo’s decision to continue using the same camera system on the Reno 11 Pro does leave us a little confused. Why are you standing still and not upgrading? That’s because Oppo swears by its software processing tweaks that it says will make better use of the triple rear camera sensors, including the portrait camera. When we tested the lenses, the results were clear, especially in daylight conditions where color and detail remained intact.

Portrait cameras get a special mention for their ability to give you the detail and clarity you need for portrait shots. The primary sensor handles low-light conditions well, but the secondary and tertiary sensors don’t. Details captured using the 2x and 3x zooms are also clearly visible, which is another plus point for the camera and its combination with software adjustments.

The Oppo Reno 11 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset and comes with only 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is not expandable. The hardware under the hood is powerful and can handle most computing tasks and the daily rigors of most smartphone users.

Gaming isn’t its biggest focus, which puts it lower than some other contenders in this price range. Speaking of software, the Oppo Reno 11 Pro gets Android 14 and a ColorOS version, which still suffers from bloatware, but thankfully you can remove most of it in a few minutes.

Oppo still has to consider adopting a cleaner UI and letting people decide whether they want to use some of those preloaded apps, especially those that can’t be removed.
