Threads: Mark Zuckerberg on what is the next most important thing for Threads – Times of India

By | Published | No Comments

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has quite a few reasons to be happy. His latest app Threads is off to a flier and it was reported that Facebook now has three billion active users. Zuckerberg, however, isn’t being complacent. In a thread on Threads, he posted what’s the next important thing for threads.

‘Optimistic’ about Threads

Zuckerberg Sid that he is very optimistic about how the Threads community is coming together. However, it is still early days for Threads. “Early growth was off the charts, but more importantly 10s of millions of people now come back daily.” The next step for Threads is to ensure that millions of its users come back on a daily basis. He also said that Threads is already “way ahead of what we expected.”
Zuckerberg also said that the app will focus on improving the basics and user retention. “It’ll take time to stabilise, but once we nail that then we’ll focus on growing the community,” he said in the post.
Meta’s social media game has been quite strong. Facebook, as mentioned earlier, now has three billion active users. Instagram too has close to 1.5 billion active users and seems to be doing quite well. Zuckerberg is aware of it and remains confident about Threads’ future. “We’ve run this playbook many times (FB, IG, Stories, Reels, etc) and I’m confident Threads is on a good path too,” he said in his post on Threads.
Meanwhile, Threads will keep introducing new features in order to retain users. At the time of the launch, a few features were notably missing from the app. However, Meta is likely to introduce them in the next few months. For instance, a report mentioned that DMs or Direct Messages feature is likely to arrive on the app rather soon.
