Police are still searching for a missing man who was last seen walking alone in a dockyard after going missing during a night out in Bristol.

Jack O’Sullivan, who turned 23 last week, was last seen attending a birthday party with friends at around 3.15am on Saturday, March 2, in Lock Road, Brunel (Brunel Lock Road).

His heartbroken mother Catherine returns to the scene every day hoping to gather more information about her son’s whereabouts.

She told BBC Breakfast: “We tried to retrace his steps because we had footage of him. At three o’clock in the morning we came to the area and walked the route we knew he had taken. We wanted to see the light on it How great and really looking for answers.

“Jack’s birthday is hell on earth, it really is. I wish the world could try and tell me where Jack is.”

Avon and Somerset Police said that at 3.24am he tried to call a friend who was still at the party, but when the friend called back ten minutes later, Mr O’Sullivan answered the phone but only said ” Hello”. The thread is cut.

Jack was last seen in the Brunel Lock Road area at around 3.15am on Saturday, March 2 (Avon and Somerset Police)

Police described Jack as white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slim build and short brown hair. He was wearing a green/brown quilted Barber jacket, a beige wool sweater, navy chinos, and brown leather sneakers with white soles.

Speaking at Jack’s last confirmed location, senior investigating officer Jason Chidgey said: “This is an extremely difficult and distressing time for Jack’s family and friends as we continue to work hard to find him.

“It has been a month since Jack was last seen in the Cumberland Basin area and we continue to appeal to anyone who may have been driving along these roads and may have seen something, or have dash cam footage if they did not see it themselves Video guy.

“If you live in the area and have CCTV or a video doorbell, please check back on Saturday, March 2 to see if you notice anything or anyone matching Jack’s description.

“The smallest piece of information can have a huge impact on our investigations, so even if you don’t think it’s important, we encourage people to still contact us.

“We are keeping an open mind as to where Jack is but it would be very out of character for him and we have been working hard to trace his whereabouts that night.

“Detectives carried out an extensive CCTV trawl, door to door interviews and we have deployed a specialist dive team to search the basin and the wider Avon – as Jack was last seen very close to the Avon – — and have been looking for his phone and why it was still active after his last confirmed sighting.”

Anyone who spots Jack is asked to call 999 and provide reference number 5224055172 to call handlers.

If you have any information about his whereabouts, or have some footage that could assist the investigation, please call Avon and Somerset Police on 101 or get in touch on the website.
