Rijkaard Salu Siafa: Man stabbed to death in Croydon, 22, named by police

Police have released the name of a 22-year-old man who was stabbed to death in south London.

Rijkaard Salou Siafa was pronounced dead at the scene in Fellmongers Yard, Croydon After the officials were called Friday just after 6 p.m.

A 20-year-old man arrested nearby on suspicion of murder remains in custody.

Metropolitan Police Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee said: “Our deepest condolences and condolences are with Rijkaard’s family and friends who have come to terms with his death following this shocking incident.

“This loss has caused irreparable trauma to the family and I ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Members of the public attempted to administer first aid to the victim before officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance arrived.

“I would also like to thank those members of the public who came to Rijkaard’s aid in the immediate aftermath,” DCI Lee said.

“If you saw the incident taking place but have not yet contacted the police then I would ask that you do so immediately.

“Local residents will continue to see an increased police presence in the Fellmongers Yard area – if you have any concerns please contact one of the officers.”
