Two security personnel were killed in a shootout between Naxalites and police in Jharkhand’s Chhatra district on Wednesday, an official said.

The incident took place in the Bairio forest between Sadar and Bass Nagar Chori police station areas, 200 km from Jharkhand capital Ranchi, the official added.

A police officer said: “Two security personnel were killed in the incident.
