Prince Andrew hopes to return to public view as cancer-stricken King Charles abdicates
Prince Andrew looks forward to public return, cancer-stricken King Charles ‘in retreat’

Prince Andrew may make a carefully planned return to public life as the royal family continues to deal with the current health crisis.

The Duke of York has been the center of the family since the royal family’s last few public appearances. He initially took part in a walk on the Sandringham estate on Christmas Day.

He then led members of the royal family at a memorial service for the late Greek King Constantine in February, shortly after King Charles was diagnosed with cancer and resigned from public duties.

He recently attended an Easter service at St George’s Church, along with King Charles and Queen Camilla, among others.

talking business insiderRoyal commentator Kristen Meinzer said: “This feels like a relaunch of a discredited spare tire, or a misguided attempt to reassure the public that apart from Charles, William and Harry Other than that, everything is fine with the royal family.”

Evan Nierman, a public relations expert and author, noted that Prince Andrew’s ambitions to reemerge after he was stripped of his royal duties in 2019 would certainly not have royal support.

He told the outlet: “The family has more to lose than continuing to be seen with Andrew, so there is certainly reason to keep their distance.”

The founder and CEO of crisis communications firm Red Banyan added: “He may personally be looking for an opportunity to rebuild his public image, but I suspect this is a coordinated effort with the royal family and their PR agency.”
