Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ‘Parakram Diwas’ ceremony at the Red Fort here on Tuesday evening to mark the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said Modi will also launch ‘Bharat Parv’, which will be held between January 23 and January 31 to showcase the country’s rich diversity with Republic Day tableaux and cultural performances, including The efforts of 26 ministries and departments will be highlighted. Citizen centric initiatives, advocacy for local, diverse tourist attractions etc.

The PMO said it will be held at Ram Leela Maidan and Madhav Das Park in front of the Red Fort. It said this year’s event will be a multi-faceted celebration weaving together historical reflections and vibrant cultural expressions.

The PMO said the activities will provide insight into the deep legacy of Netaji, as Bose was known, and the Azad Hind Fauj. It said visitors will have the opportunity to engage in an immersive experience through archival exhibitions, rare photographs and displays of documents that narrate the remarkable journey of Netaji and the Azad Hind Fauj.

“In line with the Prime Minister’s vision of taking steps to appropriately honor the contributions of veterans who played a vital role in the freedom struggle, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in 2021 began to be celebrated as Parakram Diwas,” PMO said.
