Republic Day: PM Modi will meet tableau artists and NCC cadets

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet tableau artists along with NCC cadets at his official residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on January 24, officials said on Monday.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Defense PRO Manoj Roorkewal said that an event will be organized at the Prime Minister’s residence on January 24 where he will interact with the tableau artistes working behind the scenes as well as NCC cadets. “This year’s Republic Day event will be women-centric and its motto is ‘Developed India’. On January 24, a program will be organized at the Prime Minister’s residence where he will meet and interact with the tableau artists working behind the scenes. He will also meet the NCC cadets who will participate in the January 26 parade,” Roorkewal said.

This year there will be 26 tableaux during the Republic Day Parade on 26 January.

While 16 tableaux will represent different states, the others will represent ISRO, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Electronics and Information, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, ITBP, MEA, ECI, CPWD and Ministry of Culture.
