2024 general election first phase polling: Sachin Pilot claims Congress will win more seats in Rajasthan.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot today derided the Bharatiya Janata Party’s target of 370 seats across India, saying the targets lacked momentum as the party failed to deliver on its promises during its 10 years in power at the Centre. As for the 25 out of 25 targets in Rajasthan – the hat-trick the BJP hopes to achieve – that will definitely not happen, he said. He said the Congress party may eventually win all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the desert state.

The reason, he told New Delhi TV in an exclusive interview, is that the party is in better shape than ever. Mr Pilot said after casting his vote in Jaipur this morning: “Our candidates are better, our campaign is more energetic, our workers are more passionate and change is happening across India and more so in Rajasthan. “

Not only did the BJP score a perfect score in Rajasthan in 2014 and 2019, it also managed to wrest the state from the Congress last year and installed new-faced Bhajan Lal Sharma ) takes power.

But Mr. Pilot claimed that this would have an adverse impact on the BJP in the state as the first-time MLA-led government was ineffective.

“Ten years is a long time. They (people of Rajasthan) gave all the seats to the BJP. What did they get in return? No benefit can be gained by giving to the BJP,” Mr. Pilot asserted.

He said that in such a situation, the dream of the PPP would be impossible to realize.

“I humbly say that the Congress will win more seats than the BJP,” he said. When asked if the party would be able to open an account, he said, “We just won’t open an account, we will ensure that we win All 25 seats…(or) will get more seats than the BJP”.
