Tory MP says cost of living crisis is ending and everyone cheers

The UK’s cost of living crisis is “ending” and people have “bucked up”, a Tory MP has said.

Andrea Leadsom, Conservative MP for South Northamptonshire, made the comments after inflation fell by 3.4%.

Speaking to Sky Politics on Wednesday (March 20), Ms Leadsom said: “What’s really important is that we’ve seen a big drop in inflation today, which obviously cheers everyone up. That’s what we’ve been doing The goal is to see the cost of living crisis end and people take home more money in their paycheck or paycheck every day.”
