Porsche Macan EV launched in India, price starting at Rs 165 crore

After an exciting global premiere, the Porsche Macan EV has finally entered the Indian market. The high-performance car was launched at a price of Rs 165 crore (ex-showroom).

The company has launched two versions of its electric car, Macan 4 and Macan Turbo. Both models feature dual motors and are available with all-wheel drive.

Those who can afford it can book the super luxury car from the company’s authorized dealers or online through the official website. Deliveries of the product are expected to begin around the middle of this year.

Compared with ICE models, what are the new features of EVs?

The newly launched Macan EV has a larger wheelbase and appears larger compared to the fuel model. It comes with an updated quad-LED headlamp setup paired with stylish LED DRLs with a signature style connected LED light bar at the rear. In addition, the front of the vehicle also uses an active air intake, making the vehicle look more sporty and bold.

Charging capacity and range

Both models are developed using an 800-volt architecture and can use DC fast charging speeds of up to 270 kW. The company claims that the Macan EV’s battery charge can be increased from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes, with a range of up to 613 kilometers. The top-spec variant has a range of up to 591 kilometers.

Power figures

Speaking of power data, the Porsche Macan 4 has a maximum output of 402 horsepower and 650 Nm, and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The top model Macan Turbo has a maximum output of 630 BHP and 1129 Nm, and can accelerate from 0 to 98 km/h in just 3.1 seconds.
