Nicole Kidman praises daughters’ support as she makes history at AFI Gala

Nicole Kidman recently expressed excitement over her daughters’ rare appearance at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Awards Gala.

Kidman, who was honored on Saturday, April 27, celebrated her accomplishment at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood with her husband Keith Urban, as well as their daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

speaking specifically to entertainment tonightAt the event, Deirdre Behar’s Kidman emphasized the support she received from her family.

She said, “To be honest, I’m a little nervous. Instead of nervous, say you’re excited. So I’m excited!”

“I feel incredibly honored to be a part of this,” she said. “When you look at this list of honorees, I’m just amazed. And to be the first Australian [honored]I’m very proud of her,” she added.

Kidman said she was “so” happy to join her girls, assuring them that “now they’re old enough to come and know what it’s like.”

“My mom isn’t here, but she’s watching the live stream,” Kidman shared. “And so being able to do that with your family around you gives it such a balance…it’s so important,” she concluded.
