PM Modi plays Dholak, praises Mohammad Shami at Uttar Pradesh poll rally

He said the dholak beat should now echo “kamal chap”.

Amroha:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday played a ‘dholak’ given to him and associated the ‘dholak’ and fast bowler Mohd Shami with the pride of Amroha.

Addressing a public meeting here, he said Amroha’s dholak has been given the GI tag while Shami played “desh ka danka” (excellent performance in the World Cup).

He said the dholak beat should now echo “kamal chap”.

The Prime Minister said his government awarded Arjun Awards to cricketers and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gifted a stadium to the region.

He urged voters to exercise their right to vote, as their vote will determine the country’s future.

He pointed out that Amroha suffered under non-BJP governments but is now developing rapidly.
