According to reports, the perpetrator, a French-Iranian in his sixties, allegedly burned tires in front of the embassy last Tuesday (April 9). According to French news outlet Europe1.

The suspect reportedly entered the same room as the ambassador to one of the two countries before his arrest.

The news outlet also claimed the person suffered from mental illness, but did not name it.
