iPhone 16 models are expected to feature ultra-thin bezels powered by new technology

The iPhone 16 series is expected to launch later this year as the successor to the iPhone 15 series launched in September 2023. The upcoming models are likely to feature considerable upgrades over current phones. Over the past few months, there have been multiple leaks and reports online about the iPhone 16 series. Details such as the camera, processor, size and other details of the iPhone 16 phone have been exposed. A new report claims that the smartphone will come with ultra-thin bezels.

According to Sisajournal, Apple is expected to use a new technology called BRS (Border Reduction Structure) to try to reduce the frame size of the iPhone 16 model. Report (pass @Tech_Reve). This technology is often referred to as “borderless” technology. By “rolling the bottom copper wire up,” it helps make the bezels thinner, especially the bottom bezel (chin).

While technology exists to help shrink the top and side bezels, manufacturers have previously faced some challenges in shrinking the bottom bezel. The main problem they encountered was heat. However, the rolled copper wire method used by BRS is said to solve this problem.

The report adds that both Samsung Display and LG Display, which are said to be supplying screens for iPhone 16 models, will use BRS technology. According to reports, the feature will be available on all four purported models – the base iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.This could be seen as a step towards Apple report The goal of developing bezel-less smartphones.

It was previously reported that the iPhone 16 Pro model will be equipped with a larger display than the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models are expected to feature 6.27-inch (159.31mm) and 6.85-inch (174.06mm) screens respectively. The Pro model may also feature a new capture button that acts as a photo or video capture trigger. It was previously reported that the iPhone 16 may adopt a vertical camera layout. The upcoming series is also said to get an upgraded Neural Engine powered by artificial intelligence.
