Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Lucknow Supergiants by 10 wickets in an IPL 2024 game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday. SRH bowled with discipline first, restricting the KL Rahul-led side to a total of 165 for 4 in 20 overs, before the pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma made a mockery of the score. Head scored an unbeaten 89 off 30 balls, while Abhishek scored an unbeaten 75 off 28 balls, helping SRH reach home without losing any wicket in 9.4 overs. SRH’s strong batting surprised LSG captain Rahul. “I have no words. We have seen that kind of batting on TV. But this is unreal batting,” the opening batsman said.

“Everything seemed to be happening between the bats. Congratulations to his skills. He has worked hard on his six-hitting skills. He didn’t give us a chance to know what the pitch was like in the second innings.”

“It was difficult to stop them because they faltered right from the first ball. Once you are in a losing position, there are question marks on the decisions taken. We were 40-50 runs short when we lost the wicket in the powerplay. If given, we could not do it. We didn’t get any momentum. Ayush (Badoni) batted well to take us to 166. But even if we had got 240, they could have chased it down.”
