'I assure people...': Lieutenant Governor on Arvind Kejriwal's jail order

“I can assure the people of Delhi that the government will not be run from prisons.”

New Delhi:

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Wednesday said in the context of the AAP leader’s statement that the government will not run from jails and Arvind Kejriwal will continue to serve as chief minister even if he is behind bars.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in a money laundering case related to Delhi’s excise policy and was later remanded to the agency’s custody till March 28.

Speaking at the Times Now summit, Mr Saxena said, “I can assure the people of Delhi that the government will not run from jails.”
