Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said he was working to ensure that nearly Rs 3,000 crore “looted” by the Enforcement Directorate from the poor in West Bengal is returned to them.

The BJP won 18 of the state’s 42 Lok Sabha seats in 2019, seen as a surge in its fortunes, and is hoping to increase its tally this time around.
