Sunak calls Netanyahu

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister revealed that he told Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu that the situation in the region was “increasingly intolerable”.

Mr Sunak told The Sun: “I spoke to Prime Minister Netanyahu last night and made it clear to him that the situation is increasingly intolerable and what we urgently need to see is an understanding of what has happened. Conduct a transparent investigation, but also massive amounts of aid coming into Gaza – removing barriers – but also working closely with aid agencies to ensure that something like this never happens again.”
