Range Rover Velar facelift: The new dominant member of the family, and here’s why

Ever since the SUV segment started gaining popularity in India, most manufacturers have started investing more in the SUV segment instead of reviving the sedan segment. They either tend to launch new products or make significant updates to existing products to attract customers. To meet most of the expectations and offer a value-for-money product, premium carmaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has duly given a decent facelift to its flagship SUV Velar six years after its release.

The company had launched a facelifted avatar of one of its best-selling products in September last year, with prices starting at Rs 94.30 lakh (ex-showroom). This king-size SUV comes with some special updates that offer best-in-class features, improved on-road appearance, proper ground clearance, off-road capability and more.

One of the important and first things that grabs everyone’s attention is the style and road appearance and there is no doubt that the updated Velar tops this department effortlessly. It features a better front fascia than before, with a new pixel LED headlight setup and integrated signature LED DRLs, as well as a revised rear bumper, complete with redesigned taillights.

Unchanged from generation to generation, SUVs continue to flaunt the same dimensions as their predecessors, giving consumers the same comfort and unparalleled appeal. The head-turning elements haven’t faded either, all thanks to the massive flat bonnet, revised 20-inch alloy wheels, subtly sculpted body lines and an aggressive and wild road look.

Here’s What We Feel About the RR Velar Facelift

As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, we’ve put some pretty good kilometers into the car and even taken it on some long routes to test its comfort. What we can bet is that front-seat passengers had the best time, while rear-seat passengers complained about the lack of headroom. Do you blame the problem on the cars or on their 6-foot height? You decide!
