Apple may launch iPhone 16 in seven colors

Apple’s iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to debut later this year with some design changes, such as a new vertically aligned camera layout and action buttons introduced last year on the iPhone 15 Pro. A tipster now claims that Apple will launch two additional colors of next-generation iPhone models this year. Previous reports stated that the iPhone 16 Pro models will replace the two existing colors on the iPhone 15 Pro models with new colors.

according to a postal Tipster Dingjiao Digital broke the news on Weibo that the upcoming iPhone 16 Plus (and the regular iPhone 16) will be available in four colors: black, blue, green, pink, purple, white, and yellow. Purple and white options are new additions, while other options are the same as the standard iPhone 15 models.

Although 5 of the 7 rumored colors are the same as the iPhone 15 models, Apple may still launch different colors of the upcoming phone. While the current-generation iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have more subdued color options than their predecessors, with a matte finish on the back panel (especially the blue version), this year’s models are likely to be more vibrant.

Earlier this year, reports suggested that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max would launch in new gray and gold finishes. The two phones are expected to replace the two existing phones in the iPhone 15 Pro series – Apple only releases Pro models in four colors each year. This year’s iPhone 16 Pro models may launch new desert titanium and titanium gray colors.

According to Apple’s previous release schedule, the upcoming iPhone 16 series may debut in the second half of 2024. Ahead of the launch of these phones, Apple is also expected to show off new software features as part of iOS 18, macOS 15 and other software updates to users at the WWDC 2024 event starting on June 10.
