Prince Harry sends message of ‘gifts’ and ‘treats’ at Invictus Games event

Prince Harry celebrated 10 years of the Invictus Games with an emotional speech during the Thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday.

The Duke of Sussex was joined by his late mother Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer and sister Lady Jane Fellowes at the service, which was met with cheers and laughter upon his arrival.

He also gave a speech honoring fellow soldiers for their gifts and ability to do good outside of self-interest.

The prince read, “Now there are a variety of gifts with the same spirit, a variety of services with the same master, and a variety of activities, but it is the same God who activates them all.”

“Each has been given the expression of the spirit of the common good.

“To one is given the manifestation of knowledge by the Spirit; Expression of knowledge to another according to the same soul.

“Faith to another by the same Spirit; The gift of healing from one Spirit to another,” the additional author concluded.

Despite reportedly receiving an invitation from the Duke, King Charles and the rest of the royal family were notably absent from the occasion.
