A manhunt has been launched in west London after a 21-year-old man was shot dead.

Police and paramedics were called to a residential address in Comeragh Road at 10.17pm on Monday following reports of a disturbance.

The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound and despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, who led the investigation, said: “I am sad to confirm that another young man has lost his life in violence on the streets of our capital.

“The incident occurred during a busy evening period when many people are out, returning home or driving through Comeragh Road, Barton Road or Palliser Road.

“I would love to hear from anyone who was in the area in the first half hour of 22.13. Did you see a group of people or an altercation? Do you have dash cam footage?

“Detectives remain in the area and I urge anyone with information to contact these officers directly or contact us by phone or online.”

A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.15pm on Monday 1 April to reports of an incident on Comeragh Road, W14.

“We sent resources to the scene including ambulance crews, advanced paramedics, incident response officers and members of the tactical response team.

“It is extremely regrettable that despite the best efforts of our staff, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The man’s next of kin have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.
