Dan Schneider takes legal action against ‘Quit on Set’ for defamation

Dan Schneider files defamation suit against producers of Bombshell documentary Quiet on the set: The dark side of children’s TV For defamation.

In court documents obtained by people magazineThe Nickelodeon producer, 58, “had no knowledge of his abuse, was not involved in the abuse, he denounced the abuse when he learned of it and, critically, he was not a pedophile himself.”

Schneider gave a further statement people magazineOpening up about his “mistakes” and “poor decisions” during his time at Nickelodeon.

“There is no doubt that I was a bad leader at times. “I sincerely apologize and regret that behavior and I will continue to take accountability for it,” he said.

However, he completely rejected all allegations of child sexual abuse made against him and said that he has “no option but to take legal action against those behind this.”

He expressed, “In their successful effort to mislead viewers and boost ratings, they went beyond reporting the truth and falsely alleged that I was involved in or perpetrated horrific crimes, for which actual child predators are accused.” He was prosecuted and convicted.”

He added, “I thank myself, my family, and the many amazing people involved in making these shows for setting this record.”
