Zendaya recently spoke about the importance of intimacy coordinators in her latest film, challenger.

In the sports-themed film, the 27-year-old actress plays the role of Tashi Duncan, an aspiring tennis player who gave up her career after a serious injury career.

At the film’s premiere in Rome, Zendaya praised the intimacy coordinator who helped her feel safe while filming the intimate scenes. She co-starred in the film with Mike Feist and Josh O’Connor.

“We have an intimacy coordinator who is great and very helpful because it’s important for us to feel safe,” she told hollywood reporter.

this Euphoria Star added: “I talked to my colleagues so that we could find a way to feel comfortable. We played tennis together, hung out together, rehearsed together. We had to connect with each other and feel good about each other.”

Mike agreed with Zendaya, saying that their “free time” together was crucial to building a strong relationship and portraying a “believable” romance on TV.

“We were able to spend time together during rehearsals and afterwards, especially with Josh. We were able to get to know each other as people before we went into the movie. We developed a real friendship that set the stage for the film,” he further explained road.
