New Delhi:

Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav has admitted to arranging snakes and snake venom at a rave organized by him, police sources said.

They said Mr Yadav, who was arrested yesterday in the snake venom case, also admitted during interrogation that he knew another accused who was arrested last year for supplying snake venom.

Sources added that the 26-year-old YouTuber had earlier denied being involved in the snake venoming incident but admitted that he had met the accused at different rave parties and was in touch with them.

Yesterday he was remanded in custody for 14 days.

Mr. Yadav is facing charges under the Wildlife Act and now under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Section 29 of the strict law invoked against him relates to drug-related conspiracies such as buying and selling. Under this law, bail is not easy to obtain.

Elvish Yadav has also been accused of using snakes in his video shoots. Sources said he had earlier told police that the snake seen in his video was arranged by Bollywood singer Fazl Priya.

The police earlier arrested five people in the case after conducting a raid at a banquet hall in Noida. Four of them were snake charmers. In addition, the party also seized 9 snakes and their venom.

The raid was launched after a complaint was received after an NGO member laid a trap and contacted Yadav demanding snake venom. The NGO member was given a phone number through which he tracked down the five accused, police said.
