A young Egyptian girl dressed in India’s traditional ghagrajoli dress and sang the patriotic song “Desh Rangeela” has won widespread praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders.
Modi’s praise came after the Indian embassy in India released a short video of the girl singing at a Republic Day celebration organized by the Indian mission.

A young Egyptian girl, Kaliman, sang a patriotic song “Desh Rangeela” during the 75th #RepublicDay celebrations at India House. Her melodious singing voice and right intonation impressed a large number of Indians and Egyptians alike, the official X account of the Indian Mission in Egypt was released on Sunday evening.
