The royal family decided not to attend Prince Harry’s Invictus Games event

Senior members of the royal family will not attend Prince Harry’s Invictus Games event.

As reported mirror, “No senior members of the royal family” will be joining the Duke of Sussex to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Games on May 8.

Harry, who stepped down as a senior working royal along with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020, is expected to return to the UK in a few days for the ceremony.

“The Invictus Games Foundation will celebrate 10 years of changing lives and saving lives with a ‘Thanksgiving Service’ at St Paul’s Cathedral on 8 May,” according to an announcement on Invictus Games’ social media platforms.

“To celebrate the occasion we will be joined by our Patron, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, actor Damian Lewis and members of the Invictus community around the world,” the statement said.

It is worth mentioning that Harry will be traveling alone as his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, is reportedly skipping the UK trip amid the royal feud.

Additionally, reports also claim that the father of two has no plans to meet his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, and sister-in-law, Princess Kate, during his visit.
