Kolkata Knight Riders have found a new star in youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi as the 18-year-old scored in just 25 deliveries against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 on Wednesday Half a century of achievements. The young batsman came out for KKR, batting at No. 3, and finished impressively with 5 boundaries and 3 sixes. He performed with great ease against the DC bowlers and even forged a 104-run partnership with Sunil Narine. He made his IPL debut in KKR’s final game against Royal Challengers Bangalore and was an impact player for the team.

Raghuvanshi moved to Mumbai from Gurgaon at the age of 11 to pursue cricket and he performed well in the 2022 U-19 World Cup. He started the game in the first innings and ended up scoring 278 runs as the team became champions under the leadership of Yash Dhull.

Raghuvanshi made his debut for Mumbai in 2023 and in the A and T20 lists, he was extremely impressive in the CK Nayudu Trophy where he scored 765 runs in just 9 games. He was selected by KKR at a rock-bottom price in the 2024 auction and his childhood coach Abhishek Nayar is part of the team’s support staff.
