It’s been a few weeks since Hardik Pandya took over as captain of Mumbai Indians from Rohit Sharma. The change remains one of the most talked-about topics in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), confusing not only fans but also some former cricketers. Sidhu feels that if the BCCI had announced the news earlier, Mumbai Indians might not have decided to replace him with Hardik as team captain.

As it stands, Hardik is the captain of Mumbai Indians while Rohit continues to lead the Indian team in all three formats.
