Taylor Swift won the coveted, fan-voted Artist of the Year award at the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 34-year-old Grammy-winning superstar expressed her gratitude in a recording played during the ceremony.

Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean and *NSYNC’s Lance Bass introduced the winners before pre-recorded messages were played to the audience.

“Hey! I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for this award,” Swift said in the video. “iHeart, you’ve also been incredibly supportive throughout my career, and especially this year, it’s been amazing. I’m so grateful for that.”

Swift revealed in speech that she will soon release 11th studio album tortured poets departmentteased, “We have a lot of exciting things ahead of us.”

The singer also said she is humbled by the support from fans for this “incredible honour” and for allowing her music to touch the lives of so many people.

“How you spend your time is entirely up to you,” she told fans. “What concerts do you want to go to, what music do you want to soundtrack your life. To those who let me be a part of those choices, I’m very, very, very grateful.”
