Royal Enfield has recently added another beast to its excellent two-wheeler portfolio by launching the Shotgun 650 in the Indian market.

This premium bike was first showcased at last year’s Motoverse event, also known as RiderMania. Since the Shotgun 650 has been launched as a limited-edition model, the Chennai-based manufacturer has decided to make only 25 units initially.

Bookings can be done on the official website of Royal Enfield as well as its authorized dealerships. While many bike lovers in India were eagerly waiting for this model, the company will select the first 25 customers through a lucky draw.

Royal Enfield has already started deliveries of the Shotgun 650, a rider from Chandigarh has become the lucky one to get the first unit. A video of the bike delivery was posted on a car-related YouTube channel named Garage Reviews.

As seen in the vlog, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 comes in a customized paint scheme. The fuel tank has a gradient pattern as the front is painted metallic black with a transition from dark to light blue. It also has a neon green outline, while the Royal Enfield logo is also in the same colour. Several piano-black elements like the front fender and engine cover enhance the look of the motorcycle.

According to the vlogger, the design of the Shotgun 650 is very similar to the previously launched Royal Enfield Meteor 650. However, there are some important differences between the two bikes. The Shotgun 650 has a more muscular look and its turn indicators have LED lights, whereas those on the Super Meteor are halogen.

Although the bike comes with two seats, the customer has opted to remove the rear seat, making the overall look more simple. The rear of the Shotgun 650 also gets a unique design as the exhaust pipes are mounted outwards. In most other Royal Enfield bikes, the exhaust pipes are close to the frame. As revealed in the video, the buyer has paid Rs 4.91 lakh for the Shotgun 650, which is priced at Rs 4.25 (ex-showroom).

The Shotgun 650 is powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin, oil-cooled engine, which is also offered in the Super Meteor 650. The engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox, is capable of producing a maximum power of 46 hp. at 7,250rpm and peak torque of 52.3Nm at 5,650rpm.

Other attractive features of the motorcycle include a digi-analogue instrument cluster with Wingman application and Tripper navigation system.
