Calling hydrogen the “fuel of the future”, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday asserted that vehicles in the country will run on green fuel in the coming years. Addressing an election rally in support of BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh in Begusarai, Gadkari said, “India imports fossil fuel every year… Soon, our farmers will produce green fuel.”

“Hydrogen is the fuel of the future and vehicles in the country will run on green fuel in the coming years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for the overall development of the country as well as the welfare of farmers,” he said.

“Increasing demand for ethanol will change the country’s agro-economy… This will make farmers ‘Urjdata’ (energy providers)… They will no longer be ‘Annadata’ (food providers),” he said.

Gadkari asserted that the ethanol industry is a boon for farmers and will increase demand which will transform the country’s agricultural economy.

“I want motorcycles, e-rickshaws, auto-rickshaws and cars to be 100 per cent ethanol-based in the next few years,” said Gadkari, Union road transport and highways minister.

Job opportunities will be created in the agriculture sector in the coming years, which will also benefit the farmers of Bihar, he said.

“PM Modi’s dream is to make India a 5 trillion dollar economy, and for that, the country needs infrastructural development… Without water, electricity, transport and communication, the overall development of the country is not possible. The NDA government is working fast. The country and Bihar’s For development I am confident that our alliance will win all 40 seats in the state.

“People will get good quality national highways wherever they go in the country, including Bihar. Our country is changing… It is our PM’s dream to make India a self-reliant nation that takes care of its poor and needy citizens,” he said. said.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh wants to re-contest from Begusarai Lok Sabha seat as NDA candidate. Singh is pitted against CPI candidate Awadhesh Rai, who is the Grand Alliance candidate.

In the fourth phase, elections will be held on May 13 on Begusarai, Darbhanga, Ujiarpur, Samastipur, Begusarai and Munger Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
