Jaipur/New Delhi:

Police investigation revealed that several candidates were placed as fake candidates in the 2021 and 2022 Rajasthan Police Examination.

A sub-inspector was arrested for asking a woman to sit for an exam in place of his sister and cousin, who lacked the ability to complete the exam independently, police said.

Police say Jagdish Sihag paid Harsha Rs 30 lakh for taking exams in place of her sister and cousin

Harsha was seen in 2021 for both women in Jhotwara and Sodala.

Last week, 15 trainee sub-inspectors, including toppers in the recruitment exam, were detained for cheating in the exam.

Previously, Jagdish Bishnoi, known as the “Guru”, was arrested in February this year for helping candidates cheat. Police sources said he started offering his services as an impostor and fake candidate and then started leaking secrets and helping candidates cheat via Bluetooth.

Catching the mafia and detaining the students will cause trouble for the 700 candidates who are undergoing training at the college.

Mr Singh said: “Detailed investigations are leading to the revelation of more information about the cheating mafia and how they were linked to each other and often worked together. The latest operation against police personnel who are undergoing training has left the Rajasthan Special Operations Group A major breakthrough is about to be achieved,” he said.
