Sunny day, no rain, but dense fog: IMD launches special webpage for Ayodhya weather forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has launched a special webpage for people traveling to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on January 22. This page includes four hour Nowcast warnings as well as the latest weather forecast for Ayodhya. Some surrounding areas.

North-West India is in the grip of intense cold wave for the last few days and the minimum temperature remains around 2-6℃. The special weather forecast covers Ayodhya, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, New Delhi along with surrounding areas like Bhiti, Bhanpur, Bikapur, Harraiya, Manakpur, Milkypur of Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of clear and sunny days in Ayodhya in the next few days. However, according to the forecast, dense fog will continue in the morning.

While the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 16-19℃, night temperatures may drop to 6-9℃. However, no significant rainfall is expected for at least the next week and the weather will remain dry.

The department has also recently unveiled an integrated GIS based interactive mobile app called Mausam which features “Mausam-Gram” which allows people to locate any selected weather with a single click on the map or search using place name, pin. Allows to access detailed weather forecast for the given location. Code, or coordinates. The forecast is available in around 12 Indian languages, and covers important weather parameters such as rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind speed and cloud cover.

The webpage also includes detailed nowcast warnings issued around 1 pm which are valid for the next four hours.
