The 2024 T20 World Cup is around the corner and the Indian cricket team selectors are keeping a close eye on the ongoing IPL to find the right players for the tournament. While several players are almost certain to find a place in the team, doubts remain over the middle order and certain players such as Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Former New Zealand fast bowler Simon Doull feels that India should use Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as openers as the move will enable him to bowl More fast bowlers, thus giving the team a good start against tough opponents.

“I think Virat should be open… 100 per cent. I don’t think he should play at No. 3 because if he does, then Rinku Singh will miss out. In my starting XI for India, Rinku has to play. So. , Virat has to open up the batting position. Now with whom he opens up, it’s up to you. If it’s Rohit Sharma or Jaiswal.
