Indian cricket team veteran Ravichandran Ashwin had a scathing assessment of Bazball and singled out James Anderson after their 4-1 win in the recently concluded five-match series and Joe Root. Ashwin referred to Anderson’s statement ahead of Day 4 of the second Test when he said England will be looking to chase a target of 399 runs in 60 overs. The result was completely different. “That’s when I realized I hadn’t received a call from my parents or my wife. I thought they were busy taking calls and doing interviews. Around 7pm I called my wife and asked why my parents weren’t Answered my call. Her voice was “a little shaky. She asked me to stay away from the crowd and told me that my mother had fainted due to headache,” Ashwin said on his YouTube channel.

“I drew a blank. I didn’t know how to react or what questions to ask. I was crying but wanted to make sure no one was watching me cry. There was no need to think so, but it was instinctive. I couldn’t think. I was in the room I cried for a while.

“Then the team doctor checked me as I wasn’t answering the phone. Rahul Bhai and Rohit Bhai also came to check me and I could only tell them that I couldn’t think clearly, ” he added.
