Sharon Osbourne has hit out at Amanda Holden after the presenter appeared to call her comments about Simon Cowell “painful and pathetic”.

Holden, 53, was one of the judges in an article in the Daily Mail Britain’s Got Talent Speaking with Cowell, he said: “I hate to see certain people on reality TV making fun of Simon – he gave them all the opportunities and gave them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had.
“It’s painful and it’s pathetic. It’s like Cinderella and her two sisters – just stabbing, stabbing, stabbing.”

Osbourne, who has previously managed The Smashing Pumpkins and Motorhead, responded to the article with a lengthy post on Show “I Made It, My Global Celebrity”.
She said whenever she saw Holden on TV she always thought she was “incredibly beautiful and talented” but told her: “Never comment on the lifestyle Simon Cowell gave me.
“It’s an insult to me and my husband and everything I’ve accomplished in my life because you make yourself look like an ill-informed sycophant.”

Osbourne starred on the 2000s reality show The Osbournes with her family and has her own talk show. She said her brand was “known around the world” and she had “had an amazing lifestyle all my life”, owning a mansion in Beverley Hills and an English country estate.
“I never discuss money, lifestyle or positions of power,” she said.
“I found it classless and vulgar.
“Yet you are now forcing me to reveal these things to you and honestly I don’t want to look like I’m bragging but the truth is that my money and success is not due to doing some Simon Cowell talent show. .
“Don’t get me wrong, I loved doing them because they were fun.
“Yes, Simon pays me well. Probably more than you receive today, but all that goes on a few handbags my dear.”

But Holden appeared to stand by his comments following Osbourne’s criticism.
A spokesperson told MailOnline: “Amanda is aware of Sharon’s incredible career but just like her, Amanda will always defend those around her.”
