Shreyas Iyer is facing some tough questions over his injury and intention to play domestic cricket. But all that is in the past and Shreyas Iyer seems to be a happy man on the field. Recently, he appeared on “The Kapil Sharma Show” with Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma.

He had some interesting conversations during the show.

Kapil Sharma says that whenever Shreyas Iyer touches a boundary, photographers focus on the girl with the ‘Shreyas Marry Me!’ poster. “He is also a bachelor,” Kapil added.The comedian-actor then asked the cricketer if he would check with the photographer later on where the girl was sitting

“In my first year in IPL, I noticed a very pretty girl sitting in the stands and I waved hello to her. This happened many years ago. Facebook was very popular at that time. I wanted to receive a message and kept checking … That’s the only incident that happened to me,” he responded.

In this episode, Rohit Sharma talks about the 2023 World Cup final defeat: “When the game started, we started well. Shubman Gill came off soon but Then Virat Kohli paired up with me. We were confident that we could do well. Score runs. I feel in big games if you can score runs and create pressure on the other team… because The opposing team has to score runs. But Australia is playing good cricket. We even managed to take three wickets for just 40 runs, but they have a long-term partnership.”

Kapil Sharma asked Iyer to name a player whom he looked up to as a child. Iyer revealed that Rohit has been his idol since childhood and said that he learned his traits from the energetic opening.

Iyer clarified that he did not choose Rohit because of the camera or the Indian captain standing next to him.

“I’m not joking or making this up, but Rohit Bhai has always been my hero. Because he is also from Bombay, where I am also from and grew up watching him.,” Iyer said after being asked by the host the name of his idol.

While Rohit did acknowledge Iyer’s actions, he went on to joke about current players talking bad about him behind his back in the dressing room.

“There was a lot of abuse in the locker room. There is also a log in front and a camera. Young people today are very dangerous.,” replied Rohit. His reply put Kapil and Iyer at odds.
