Now, royal expert Ingrid Seward has revealed the possible reasons for Meghan and Kate’s strained relationship.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “Seeing Harry and Kate’s close relationship may trigger jealousy and insecurity in Meghan, making her feel like she has to compete for his attention and affection.”
Ingrid also claimed Meghan may be “feeling a sense of competition” with Kate.
The authors added: “Constant media attention and comparisons between the two women may have heightened feelings of competition.”
“Kate’s popularity with the public may have made Meghan feel like she had to live up to a certain standard,” she said.
