King Charles waves as he arrives for Easter Sunday church service in Windsor

A royal writer has suggested that Prince Harry may be “feeling more free than ever” after Kate’s public announcement of her cancer.

The Princess of Wales announced her diagnosis to the world on March 22, but it is understood that neither Harry nor Meghan were informed of the news in advance, exposing the extent of the royal rift.

Shortly after Kate’s brave video message aired, the Sussexes sent messages of support to their in-laws and reportedly made private contact.

Royal author Dr Tessa Dunlop told Mirror: “Harry considers himself the royal ‘spare’. After the revelations about his sister-in-law’s health, I expect he will feel more spare than ever.”

There has been speculation that Prince Harry will visit his brother William when he returns to the UK to host the Invincible Games event in May this year amid fears of a growing rift.

Dr Dunlop said she felt for the couple, who stepped down from royal duties in exchange for a life in California in 2020.

she added: “No, they don’t have cancer, and yes, they have been openly critical of the British royal family. But how many of us in our own families suppress our feelings because a sibling or sister-in-law might be sick? “

King Charles to open Balmoral Castle to public for first time in history

An experienced guide will take the group through several rooms used by Charles and Queen Camilla as part of his desire to make the royal residence more accessible to the public.

One source noted that unlike other tourist attractions such as Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, Balmoral was not built to accommodate large tour guides.

The month-long summer program is expected to be a trial period, with estate staff taking note of the impact of increased footfall on the historic building, which was purchased by Queen Victoria in 1852.

The public can now enter the Green Drawing Room, Family Dining Room, Library and Page Hall where the late Queen Elizabeth II met Liz Truss.

Prince Harry will ‘have some explaining to do’ if he doesn’t return to UK, experts say

Harry plans to return to the UK next month, but “he will have some explaining to do” if the plan falls through, a royal expert said.

The Duke of Sussex will arrive at St Paul’s Cathedral from California next month to deliver a speech at a special ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invincible Games.

Royal expert Tom Quinn said Prince Harry will likely stick to the schedule and return home to avoid speculation that he is avoiding his brother out of embarrassment.

He said Mirror: “Barring something major, Harry will definitely return to the UK in May to compete on Invictus – which is his baby.

“If he decided not to come it would require some explanation because everyone would assume it was because he didn’t want to see his brother or the embarrassment of having to choose not to see him.”

I spent years trying to address the damage done to residential schools

British boarding schools were known to be favored by the aristocracy and were thought to confer social advantages on their alumni.

It is also widely acknowledged that some schools have historically fostered traditions of brutality and emotional deprivation among their students, with long-lasting effects.

One need only look at the beatings, humiliation and loss of self-worth suffered by the victims of Edinburgh College teacher John Brownlee, who emerged this week, to see what a traumatic and life-changing experience it was.

I spent years trying to unravel the dangers of ‘boarding school syndrome’
