Swiggy on Thursday launched the ‘Swiggy Pawlice’ feature to help find missing pets.

Under an initiative launched by the on-demand convenience platform called ‘Swiggy Pawlice’, pet parents can now report missing pets on the Swiggy app for search using its network of delivery partners.

Swiggy launched the feature on Thursday on the occasion of National Pet Day on April 11.

The company also said it would introduce a “paws-keeping” policy to support employees in caring for and adopting pets.

Pet parents can report missing pets directly through the Swiggy app with all necessary details and pictures.

The company said it will leverage its network of more than 350,000 delivery partners in the program.

“Given the amount of time they spend out and about, whether delivering goods or taking a break between orders, Swiggy’s delivery partners are in a unique position to help. There are many examples where their presence and mobility have proven invaluable ‘s, allowing them to easily lend a helping hand to those in need,” the company said.

If a delivery partner discovers a lost pet, they need to inform Swiggy’s team with the details and location. They have been told not to retrieve the pets themselves.

The Swiggy team will then share the details with pet parents, enabling them to visit the location and hopefully reunite with their beloved pets.
