Palace insider provides latest update on King Charles’ health

The monarch is currently undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer and is gradually returning to his normal public duties.

According to People magazine, a source close to the royal family revealed that Charles is making good progress with his treatment and remains positive.

They further mentioned that doctors are optimistic about his condition. The king’s public appearances and commitments have been limited since the palace announced on February 5 that he had cancer.

However, he is now preparing for major events in the summer.

A source revealed that the King’s team is considering Charles’ summer schedule and has “increased confidence” given the complex treatment he is undergoing.

However, the King’s team would not commit to any engagements and would rely on “medical advice closer to time.”

During his treatment, Charles has continued to process paperwork and hold weekly meetings with the Prime Minister.

Another source added: “One thing that has not diminished at all is his interest in work.”

The king and queen will attend Easter services on Sunday and accommodation has been arranged for the king’s health.

Following advice from his medical team, Charles is expected to sit separately from the main congregation to protect his health.

It is understood he will be seated slightly away from others, part of arrangements that are “acceptable” to the King at this stage.

The king hopes to attend summer events, including military parades and the D-Day landings on June 6.
