Some major changes have been made to the Academy Awards which will be effective from its upcoming ceremony.

The 97th Oscars, which will take place on March 2, 2025, the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced updated awards rules and campaign promotion rules. Hollywood Reporter.

Specifically, three composers can receive individual Oscar statuettes if they all make significant contributions to the film’s music.

Animated films eligible for the Best International Feature category may also be considered for Best Animated Feature if they meet the requirements for both categories.
