Nothing Phone 2a receives new update and improved camera

Nothing Phone 2a was launched in India on March 5. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity chipset and comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging. It comes with Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14. The phone recently received the Nothing OS 2.5.3 update, which brings some important camera experience updates to the phone. Now, the UK-based OEM has announced that the new Nothing OS 2.5.4 update has started rolling out to Phone 2a users.

The company also detailed the updated changelog in the same post. The update includes improvements to color accuracy and saturation for the rear camera, as well as fine color consistency between the main and ultra-wide rear cameras. According to the changelog, the NothingOS 2.5.4 update for the Phone 2a will improve camera performance across the board and provide “finely tuned” bokeh effects in portrait mode. The Nothing OS 2.5.4 update is said to optimize the overall performance of mobile games, including BGMI. This update will also improve the recorder widget animation and eliminate animation stuttering when launching and exiting the application.

The NothingOS 2.5.4 update for Phone 2a also includes multiple bug fixes. A flickering issue that some users experienced when launching the app from the home screen has been fixed. At the same time, this update also fixes the display problem of home screen and lock screen wallpapers. Issues where cellular or Wi-Fi information is displayed incorrectly in Quick Settings and the screen dims during incoming calls are said to have been resolved. The update will also enhance the overall stability of the phone.

Nothing Phone 2a is available in Black and White color options and is priced at Rs. The 8GB + 128GB option is priced at Rs 23,999, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are priced at Rs. 25,999 and Rs.27,999 respectively. The phone comes with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, 5,000mAh battery (supports 45W wired fast charging), 6.7-inch 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display, dual 50MP rear cameras and 32MP selfie camera.
