MS Dhoni is back to his best form yet again for the Chennai Super Kings. This time it is Lucknow Supergiants at home who face his wrath on Friday. MS Dhoni emerged at the crease in the 18th over with the Chennai Super Kings trailing by six runs. And it wasn’t long before he showed off his old magic. In IPL 2024, MS Dhoni made the most of his guest role. Against LSG, he scored his first six off the second ball of the 19th over off left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan.

He walked over the stumps and scooped the ball up. Such shots are very rare for MS Dhoni. It was a short delivery and Dhoni hit it perfectly over the head of LSG wicketkeeper KL Rahul. Dhoni remained unbeaten on 28 off 9 balls with a strike rate of 311.11 and he hit 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Talking about the match, Chennai Super Kings rode a 50-mile carriage controlled by Ravindra Jadeja on Friday in an Indian Premier League match against Lucknow Super Giants scored 176 for six. Apart from Jadeja (57 not out, 40b, 5x4s, 1×6), Ajinkya Rahane (36, 24b, 5x4s, 1×6), Moeen Ali (30, 20b, 3x6s) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (28 not out, 9b, 3x4s, 2×6) ) also made a handy contribution after CSK were asked to bat first.

For LSG, Krunal Pandya (2/16) was the most successful bowler.

LSG made one change with New Zealand pacer Matt Henry replacing West Indian counterpart Shamar Joseph.

CSK made two changes to their eleven, with Moeen Ali replacing Daryl Mitchell and Deepak Chahal replacing Shardul Thakur.
