King Charles, Prince Harry to hold important meeting in presence of ‘troubled’ Queen Camilla

King Charles and Prince Harry may move towards repairing their strained relationship as the Duke of Sussex prepares to visit London next week.

Harry’s visit to the UK is aimed at giving a recital at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

According to royal expert Tom Quinn, Harry is expected to make meeting his father a priority, especially following the monarch’s recent cancer diagnosis.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Quinn said: “It’s going to be very difficult for Harry to come to the UK and not meet his grieving father, King Charles.” He also believes the couple’s visit will be longer than the last time Harry visited.

Harry moved back to London in February after Charles’ cancer diagnosis was made public. It was the first time Harry had seen his father in several months, but their reunion is said to have lasted only 30 minutes.

Quinn said: “When the two meet it will definitely be a longer meeting than last time when father and son spent just 30 minutes together, but Camila is likely to be there just because she is with her husband. Per feels very protective and would not want her to be upset at such a difficult time.

“Also, despite much being written, Camilla is exceptionally diplomatic and good at dealing with difficult situations and difficult people. If anyone can comfortably navigate a meeting with Harry, Camilla can – that’s The reason is that Charles would want him there.”

The royal writer suggested that Charles would want to meet Harry despite his illness because he would not want to be seen “avoiding his son, even if the meeting is awkward and difficult.”

Quinn said: “Like William, Charles always strives to appear generous and generous. He knows this is a stark contrast with his often irascible son; Charles and Harry know that everyone is keen to see Will happen if they meet and neither of them wants to be blamed for rejecting the other.”
