Miss India 2022 winner Sydney Shetty will represent India at the Miss World beauty pageant in Mumbai today. After a lapse of 28 years, the 71st Global Beauty Pageant will be held in India, where contestants from 112 countries will compete for the Miss World crown.

Speaking about the upcoming beauty pageant, the 22-year-old former marketing professional described the opportunity to represent India as the “biggest joy” of her life.

“My representation means the world to me. I don’t represent myself, I represent 1.4 billion people and that’s a huge responsibility because you represent the Indian culture, the diverse heritage that we have, how everyone feels and Emotions live in this country,” she told news agency ANI.
