Riots broke out in The Hague, Netherlands, on February 17 when two rival Eritrean groups clashed with each other and then with police. Several cars and police cruisers were set on fire near the Opera House building around the Fruitweg. In an effort to quell the unrest, police used tear gas to disperse rioters who threw rocks and bricks at them, the Associated Press reported. Pictures and videos on social media showed dozens of men clashing with police on the streets.
