Lok Sabha polls 2024: 40 candidates have filed nominations for Rajasthan so far, officials say

Forty candidates have so far submitted their nominations for the first phase of Rajasthan Lok Sabha elections, officials said on Tuesday.

BJP candidates Jyoti Mirdha and Sumedhanand Saraswati filed for Nagaur constituency and Sikar Lok Sabha respectively on Tuesday Nomination from Sikar Lok Sabha constituency. Amra Ram, the candidate of the CPI(M), a member of the Indian Bloc, submitted his nomination to Sikal on the same day.

The last date for submission of nomination documents for the first phase is March 27. Review will take place on March 28 and the last date to withdraw nominations is March 30.

Addressing a public meeting in Sikar after sitting MP Sumedhanand Saraswati filed his nomination, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma accused the Congress party of indulging in vote-based politics and Said that the BJP always keeps the welfare of the people and the country in mind while working.
